Special Anniversary Premium Ale

  • 23 Litres (6 Gallons)
  • Ingredients:
1.5 kg 100% Hopped Malt Extract Syrup
Dried Brewing Yeast
1 kg (2.2 lbs) Dark Spraymalt
2 kg (4.4 lbs) Medium Spraymalt
1 tsp. Gypsum

Boiled 1.5 gallon water to boiling, added the dark malt, medium malt, immediately over boiled over. Had to clean-up mess before proceeding. After mixture was returned to a boil, added the malt extract syrup and gypsum and boiled for 45 minutes.

Pre-filled the fermenation pail with approximately 3 gallons of cold water. Poured the boiling mixture intr the fermenation pail and topped with enough cold water to make 6 gallons.

Original Gravity reading was 1.051 @ approximately 30ÂșC. Rehydrated yeast in 1/2 cup of cooled boiled water and pitched yeast into fermenation pail approximately 15 minutes later.

Is that the same beverage Brownell and Purcell just had, the one you have given them? The brownish burgundy plastic bottle with a white cap.

No, the beer they have is Brown Ale that was made in September.
